Hi,
I'm a happy new user of a Sub 37. This is my first Moog and I'm very impressed with it. I'm still learning it and reading through the manual, but so far I haven't found an answer for my issue. There is no MIDI implementation chart in the manual and I haven't found this information in any other thread.
I noticed that when controlling the Sub 37 from another keyboard using MIDI, it seems it doesn't respond to incoming sustain pedal events. I'm aware that the latest firmware version adds support for a sustain pedal connected in the CV gate input (it generates CC#64 on the MIDI output). What I'm trying to achieve is the opposite, making the Sub 37 sustain the pressed keys using a sustain pedal connected to another keyboard connected by MIDI. Is this possible?
Thanks a lot for your help.
Cheers!

Re: Sub 37 MIDI CC#64 support
Anyone? Is it possible to make it respond to sustain pedal MIDI messages?

I've never used the hardcopy manual, but the download manual has midi implementation from page 52 on:There is no MIDI implementation chart in the manual
http://www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/ ... v1.1_0.pdf
HOLD PEDAL/SUSTAIN 64 0 = OFF / 64 = ON
It's sustaining the notes when I send a 64 or greater value for cc #64 from my DAW, so as long as your other keyboard is transmitting 64+ for cc #64 then I can't see why it wouldn't work the same as my DAW does.

Re: Sub 37 MIDI CC#64 support
Hi,
Thanks for your reply and sorry for missing that in the manual. I guess I was looking for the typical one page table like http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb3 ... 4dc716.gif
I'm afraid it still doesn't work for me. The only thing that I think could be problematic is that the sustain pedals I'm trying are continuous ones, so they don't transmit a simple on/off value. I have two other keyboards connected using a MIDI patchbay. Whenever I press the sustain pedal on any of the two, I can see the Sub 37 MIDI receive light turning on (if pressing slowly I can see it blinking many times).
Right now I'm not in front of my Sub 37, but tonight I'll try USB midi with a DAW.
Cheers!

Re: Sub 37 MIDI CC#64 support
Do you have a means to see what midi values are being sent from the other keyboard when you press the pedal? If the values for cc #64 are all less than 64 then the sub 37 won't engage the sustain.

CC 64 Sustain response is fixed in the newest beta firmware (which Paul is using) but has a bug in the current production firmware (1.1.0 I think). This explains the different results. Sorry for the bug! I'll send you a link to new firmware.
