I'm sure this has been addressed before but will the CP-251 work with the Sub 37? I've heard alot of people mention the lack of CV inputs/outputs in the Sub 37.

I meant lack of CV outs. are they necessary to use the cp-251?

I suspect they're only mentioning the lack of CV OUTs in the Sub 37, which always comes standard with:

PITCH CV INPUT
FILTER CV INPUT
VOL CV INPUT
and KB GATE INPUT

Plus, using the CV MAPPING parameter, you can reroute the above inputs to many, many other destinations, all of which can be fed with control signals from a CP-251.

But, it is certain that they are mentioning the lack of CV OUTs as there are none and, according to Moog, will not have the option to add them.

i use the two together everything I play (daily). The key thing to remember about the CV Mappings on the S37. Filter CV is fixed. Pitch and Vol are editable, as is Gate, but Gate can only be mapped to something that is on/off.

Hey, thanks for the responses, guys. Good to know these products work together. I am looking at getting a CP-251 down the road for my Sub 37. However, I'm currently in the market for polyphony and am considering buying 3 slims to chain with the 37 (before they're all gone). I know there are cheaper polyphonic synths out there but I'm not re :D :D ally feeling any of them, except the Sequential Prophet 6 and it's too expensive. Plus it doesn't have signature Moog warmth. I'm getting off topic, now. Anyway, thanks for the response!

You may be able to get minitaurs cheaper than slims. And they still polychain.
