For better or worse, both of these products have a standalone editor as their only Moog software option. Consequently, unlike a DAW plugin patch data is not automatically stored with song data and so it is easy to lose your patches any time you upgrade the standalone application or your operating system. As far as I am aware it is not possible to save patch data to specific locations with the current MInitaur editor. A simple 'file open' and 'file save to' feature would be immensely useful for both the Minitaur and the up and coming Sub Phatty standalone librarian.
Please add this feature for both! Thanks.

Re: Amos: Minitaur/Sub Phatty Software Feature Request
I'm just curious why the editor can't be an AU or VST? It would add 200% more desirability to have a plugin version of the editor.
Re: Amos: Minitaur/Sub Phatty Software Feature Request
I thought that the Sub Phatty editor was going to be VST/AU/whatnot. Is it still the case?
Re: Amos: Minitaur/Sub Phatty Software Feature Request
I received this email when I purchased the sub.
"Thank you for registering your Sub Phatty Subtractive Analog Synthesizer.
Your Sub Phatty comes with a free software editor/librarian that provides access to all of the Sub Phatty's under the hood features.
This software editor/librarian is nearly complete and you will receive an email as soon as it is available for download.
In the meantime, enjoy experimenting with the hands on control and analog power of your new Sub Phatty."
Perhaps I am mistaken but I am assuming the term editor/librarian implies standalone.

Re: Amos: Minitaur/Sub Phatty Software Feature Request
I recall Amos saying in a video, or even multiple videos, that the editor was going to be available in both standalone and plugin formats. I'll see if I can find the video.
Re: Amos: Minitaur/Sub Phatty Software Feature Request
Somewhere in the forum, Amos said :
I also remember that he said that too in one of the NAMM video.I forgot to mention, the editor will indeed be VST and AU in addition to a stand-alone version.

Hmm hope so! 64bit VST/AU and AAX or wrapper compatibility would be sweet.subb wrote:Somewhere in the forum, Amos said :

Either way the Minitaur standalone would benefit from this feature.
Re: Amos: Minitaur/Sub Phatty Software Feature Request
It's even right there on the Sub Phatty product page (emphasis mine):
The Sub Phatty features a wide range of parameters just below the surface, and all features are easily accessible from the instrument’s front panel, or via the free standalone/plugin editor. Select filter poles, assign wave mod destinations, or specify pitch bend amounts — it’s all there.
Re: Amos: Minitaur/Sub Phatty Software Feature Request
I'm sure they have not strayed away from the AU/VST claims, despite there being a delay in its release.

Awesome. I thought I'd read somewhere on the forum that It would be a plugin.
