Moog controller question

I am trying to use the controller unit with the low pass filter for the random step mode in the user manual and the lfo is making a clicking noise that gets faster as the lfo speed increases. Is this normal? It's pretty much useless for this with the clicking noise.

Try patching through one of the attenuators just above the S&H. That would soften the amplitude and hopefully get rid of the clicks. Or you could try the smooth S&H which is to the far right on the bottom. And finally, you could try and patch from the S&H to the Lag and ramp the wave.
