both of you who showed your studio pics...man! i noticed beautiful similarities in preference in instruments! That Moogerfooger setup is totally inspiring! I don't have much space, but want to set up the MFs in a patchbay type setup...tryin to figure it all out.

Lengal-
The Schumann is pretty cool. Made to order. Mine is SN # 86. It took about three weeks for delivery. It is the only pedal I've been able to distort my Voyager with well. There are some attachments like a drone pedal that seem very cool but I have not picked those up yet.

Musashidan-
Thanks for the compliments.
I found that rackmounting the moogerfoogers actually saved space. I started with a $20 tabletop rack and then built my own rack boxes(three for <$70 ain't bad). It's really quite easy.

Lastly: You gotta have a real Rhodes. Nothing compares. If I could fit my Hammond through the front door of my apartment It would be in the room as well. Software emulations of such classic gear, much like the Moog, are nice but don't do the originals justice. Just my opinion.

I decided to "copy" your setup and use patch bay to connect the Moogerfoogers.
Several of qustions:

1) What modes do you use: thru, normal, half normal?
2) Can I use both TRS or TS cables (I guess so)?
3) You have 4 ports per channel on a patchbay (2 forn 2 back). The signal output from MF connects to the upper back while the input of the MF goes to the lower back plug? If I want to connect I just use patch cable on the front ?
4) Do you use a separate patchbay for the audio signals and another one for the CV or the same can be used?

Any other advice (drawing) would be appreciated. As you can see I am quite novice on patch bay field.

brain_11,

I'm not sure if you already know this, but you use TS cables for the MFs. However, if you plug a TS cable into a MF or a red jack on the CP-251 you can't use expression pedals. The only way around it is to get the TRS cables with the metal screw ends. You have to unscrew the tip and snip the ring connectors. Once you do that and invest a small fortune, you can use TS cables for the 251 and the modified TRS cables for the MFs and red jacks on the 251. Or you can do it the cheap way and use TS cables for CV and don't use the EPs.
