I'm finding it difficult to work out how many on this forum are in the UK and what support there is with Luthiers knowing how to set these up? What are others experiences out there?

is this your first guitar? Guitars are somewhat simple to set up, no matter what brand....they all work the same.
You adjust the neck relief to make sure the neck is straight with no fret buzz...you adjust the saddle height so that it is optimal for you.
Saddle height & neck relief work in harmony to make a nicely playing guitar.
You also want to set the intonation, which is how far the saddle is from the nut....very minor adjustments. this makes it so the guitar can be as close to being perfectly in tune as possible
You can google it and get some great instructional videos....just don't go poking around the electronics or the pickup screws & you'll be fine.
