Wow, I'd pay an extra $200 for that...

Well, TOO BAD! It's going for an extra $12,000 and only FIVE of them will be sold in the US, TWO of those are going to Sweetwater.

I agree with Kenneth. If I were to invest in gold, I would rather buy 7 X 1 ounce American Gold Eagle Coins.

But I won't even do that, since the price of gold has been steadily going down over the last 60 days from record highs.

Much like the value of this...thing...will probably do really quickly too.

But, hey, if some people are ready to buy this and help Moog Music get the money they need to develop a new polysynth, I'm all for it ! :D

Why has there been little publicity for this? Not pics on the Moog page or in their voyager timeline?

Actually on the timeline, they were supposed to announce something Monday Nov 6th!

Edit: On their facebook page they say they will announce something tomorrow.

First, We will see what the announcement is. Then I will find out if Arkansas' medical marijuana initiative passes, and then we will find out who our president is. I guarantee you I am more excited about one of the three.

Yes, exactly my point.

Sometimes sarcasm is wasted on the Interwebs...

So I read somewhere that it seems they're going to give one of these away as a prize. Maybe that's the 'gift' - all registered Voyager owners entered in the draw?

If I won I'd dismantle it. Melt down the gold and sell it. Sell the knobs to someone on here and keep the rest of it for spares. Awful object. Totally weird message to send about what Moog stands for. Decadent tat? Hope not.

I would sell it right off the bat. Not only is it ugly, I live at the edge of a rather rough neighborhood. Wouldn't want someone over there finding out I've got 55lbs of gold sitting around. I don't get it, why is this a "gift to Voyager owners"? Don't they know we already have Voyagers? (and ours are prettier, too)

so do you get free shipping on your purchase or do you have to shell out to insure the 15K device?

lets face it. it could get damaged in shipping.

this does come with a flight case, right?

but I don't think UPS will insure a 15K device unless it is packed by one of their representatives, right?

It comes with a custom wooden shipping crate like it was from the Indiana Jones vault.

I'd really just like to see some more detailed up-close product shots.

If I won, Id tell them to give it to Michelle and let her sell it for the BMF. I don't know if I would want to pay the taxes on that!
