what do you think on leaving the slim phatty power Switch on and just using the mains to turn it on and off, i have to take everything out the way just to get to the power button,
DONT KNOW WHY THEY PUT IT ON THE BACK OF THE SLIM

Good question! I have all of my synths, ( including a Tribute and a Slim) plugged into a power conditioner. I leave all of them on and just turn on/off the power conditioner.

It's nice to be able to turn the power switch off before you make or break the connection between the synth and the power source. I'm pretty sure that the power switch does not disconnect the ground; so by turning the switch off first, you guarantee that the ground connection is made first. This guarantee, in turn, greatly reduces the shock hazard from malfunctioning equipment.
