Ground loop problem?

I am not sure if this was an issue with the MP201 or the synths but the show I played yesterday everything went haywire. The CV was causing changes on my synths and such but the ranges were sounding like they were scaled wrong. Pitches sweeping very very high. Oddly enough it was fine on the first song, but by the last song was gibberish.
I also had a ground loop problem with my mixers feed to the PA during that set. So I wonder if a ground issue could cause the synths or the MP201 to misbehave? Like the 5v refernce to ground look s like 7v or more to the synth.
