Moog Taurus question...

Post by nyrkickazz1 » Thu Aug 21, 2003 2:06 pm

I just had a question, I know with new bass pedals like the Roland MIDI ones you need a Sound Module to get anything out of it, but how did the Taurus pedals work? Were you able to just plug them into and amp and play?

Yes, the Taurus pedals were self-contained.

Thanks, i'm a bass player with some piano playing experience, and I have a voice similar to Geddy Lee, so i'm gonna start a Rush tribute band. I'm gonna buy a Voyager within the next 2 weeks and I was hoping that the Taurus pedals were easy enough to use. I'm not very familiar with MIDI and all. Thanks again for the info!

There is trouble in the forest
For the creatures all have fled
and the maples scream OPPRESSION!
And the oaks just shake their heads

Down in his analog studio
My uncle preserved for me an old machine
For thirty-odd years.
To keep it as new has been his dearest dream.

I strip away the old debris
That hides a shining moog:
A brilliant Mk. 1 Taurus pedal
From a better vanished time.
I fire up the willing synth engine
Responding with a roar.
