Voyager Editor question

Hi, I've just started to use the Voyager editor and am having some difficulties figuring out how to edit presets from the editor window. I can select and audition presets but when I make any parameter changes from the editor window I lose all sound from the voyager (both from the editor and from the keyboard). Selecting a new preset from the front panel restores sound but doesn't solve the problem. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but nonetheless the solution eludes me. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, I'm running OS 3.4 and Voyager Editor 3.4.1 on mac OS 10.5.
