Is there a way to automate patch changes on the sub phatty? I couldn't see it in the manual.
So for instance, I'd like to be able to make a bass sound and then have different variations of the sound on different patches and then automate my sequencer to move between the different variations.
or better still, is it possible to put separate sounds on separate midi channels? That way I could just have different tracks for the different variations
I'm using Logic
Cheers
Automate patch changes on sub phatty?
Re: Automate patch changes on sub phatty?
I worked it out if anyone else wants to know.
If you set your different variations as separate patches within a bank you can just use the MIDI function 'program change' in your sequencer to draw in when you want it to change. In Logic the first patch starts at 0 and the next one is 1 and so on. I'm just playing with it now.
It's worth saving your patches first tho cos you have to do a 2 finger movement on the synth to save it to a bank. Sometimes it doesn't work so it loads up one of the factory presets and you lose the sound you made.
