Midi In Only works when I plug in after LP is on or...

Post by sharkbarf » Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:36 pm

I was having trouble getting midi signals from a Machine Drum to an LP.
I posted my set up on the Elektron-users forum where I got an answer to my problem.

Someone else had the same set up and found that Midi only works after you unplug the midi In on the LP and plug it back in,
And commonly midi only works if you power down the LP, turn it back on then replug in the midi.

A friend on the Machine drum site recommended posting the news here.
A suggestion that maybe the LP needs a firmware update? (I don't know)

I hope Amos spots this one :)

yeah ya know whats weird, this happens to me too, but not all the time.

Plus, for some reason, controlling my RME through midi is kinda messed. When I use the arpeggiator on the LP, sending through midi to the RME, it's like it does'nt always pick up all the notes. Weird.

I have the same problems, i use the LP with a Roland Mc50 and sometime there is no playback. I can record a note but when i a play the Little is mute... Anyway the midi clock is ok. The only solution that i find is turn off the LP and the sequencer and turn on again, FIRST the Little Phatty and AFTER the Mc50.
I read other threads about this problem so what about some fix?
