Controlling little phatty with midi guitar?

Post by Chris Rimby » Sun Mar 07, 2010 12:36 pm

Has anyone ever done this successfully? If so what midi pickup/interface/guitar did you use?

I know the moog e1-m can do this but I'm not even going to consider spending $4,000 on a guitar.

Thanks in advance for your time!

Thanks for the link. I'm after something that can operate polyphonically.

After doing some research is seems that the Axon and Roland products are the only options for me.

Not quite understanding that, since the Phatty is monophonic. Unless maybe you also have a poly synth you also want to control?

Then it sounds like the Roland pickup & converter would be the way to go. I tried a Strat once with the Roland MIDI pickup built in, and it tracked very well.
