Post by nerdtro » Fri Mar 12, 2010 12:15 am

I WANT TO THANK MOOG FOR BUILDING SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SYNTH. I WORK IN THE KEYBOARD DEPT. AT A GUITAR CENTER, AND HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY BOARDS FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. IT'S NICE TO SEE A SOLID STEEL CASE AND I LOVE THE RUBBER SIDES. THE WHOLE BOARD IS PURE QUALITY!! YOU GUYS CAN HAVE YOUR WOOD, CAUSE I "WOOD'NT" CHANGE A THING! THANK YOU MOOG.

In all reality I probably won't be able to afford to go that route. Oh well. I kinda like the LP as it is...especially since I've invested in coco bolo sides already.

Actually that Prodigy case is just about perfect for what a flat LP in a wooden case could become. That would be pretty cool. :)

Moog has a great thing in its Voyager design. The variable position control panel fits everyone because it's adjustable to suit everyone's needs and tastes. I think Moog would be prudent to make this design more of a regular feature in their instruments, rather than just a feature of the Minimoog.

Why not? There's no more distinctive synthesizer look than that of a raised panel. Why limit an idea that's so practical to a single instrument? If Moog has the patent to the design, then they should use it a bit more.

I'm sure it's a price and weight thing
