Little Phatty out in the cold?

Post by The Analog Kid » Wed Oct 21, 2009 4:49 pm

Ok, so I am a high school student, and have been asked to play my LP during our winter percussion season. This means that my synth will have to endure 3-9 hour rehearsals outside 5 days a week from the end of December, till May. I live in Florida, and I know that it doesn't get that cold, we are talking 40's-60's so it will stay dip below the documented temperature range. My question is how bad will this be for my synth?

I don't think it would be bad for the electronics, but you might have some tuning issues.

I played bass guitar in my high school marching band (I know, ridiculous), so the tuning can't be worse than that! I wanted them to let me play my Lync keytar instead, but it never happened.

Anyway, I would do it, but probably have a tarp or something ready if it starts raining.

I know that it won't "hurt" the synth, I just want to know how badly this will detune it
