My LP is dead
I attempted a firmware update last nite. To make sure I had good midi cables I sent my sounds to my laptop, reset the board, then sent them back to the unit. Everything was ok.
Use MIDI-OX to send the Stage 2.2 OS and walked away. Came back to a Cycle power error. Cycled the power thinking it would ask for a reload, now all I have is a blank screen.

Amos to the rescue! Contact Moog Support, it should be fixable without returning it to the factory.tonedefmusic wrote:I attempted a firmware update last nite. To make sure I had good midi cables I sent my sounds to my laptop, reset the board, then sent them back to the unit. Everything was ok.

I called and spoke to Ryan today. He suggested I return it., then mentioned something about a $35 debug adapter.

That's pretty sucky, but glad they have an alternative to a factory return.

I followed the instructions, setting MIDI OX to 1024 or something to that effect, I have the instructions on my other laptop...I used a MIDISPORT UNO...I downloaded the file and instructions directly from the moogmusic site.Amos wrote:did you make sure to set the buffer size correctly in MIDI-OX before doing the transfer? That could have caused this error.

Hi, my debugger arrived today and I have this message appearing 'communication could not be established with the specified adapter. Please confirm the current adapter and cable connection'. Can anyone help, I do not know what to do next - any advice please?

Did you download the 'Flash programming utility' from HERE ? (bottom of the page)
You need to install the 'flash programming utilitys' on your PC before you can use the debugger.
