CV Out = Lord of the ring mod?

So, now that the CV out mod is available, does this mean that the Moogerfooger Ring Modulator can now be setup to receive CV Pitch inputs from the Phatty as another oscillator, as detailed previously for the Voyager?

I remember seeing the FAQ for this on Knobtweakers or something, but being saddened at the time to discover this only applied to a synth w/ CV out.

Can someone verify this?

Correct - the LP CV Output mod will allow you control the Ring Modulator's Carrier Oscillator (as well as the Freq Box Oscillator). This means you can use the MF-102 as an extra oscillator, get chromatically-tuned Ring Modulation, etc.

Pretty cool, eh?

(edit) For an interesting twist on tuned Ring Modulation, try this: use the LP's Pitch CV to control the Freq Box Oscillator (adjust the CV for chromatic tuning), then connect the Freq Box Oscillator Output to the Ring Mod's Carrier Input. Since the Freq Box Oscillator waveshape is adjustable (as opposed to the Ring Mod's fixed Triangle wave), you will have many more tonal modulation options at your disposal.

Last night in Portland Oregon we had a synth meet up for synth dorks.. The guy who got the very first CV Out mod to his LP TE was there.. Really cool dude, and the mod looks and works GREAT !!!
