LFO sync

Post by Assar » Fri Apr 03, 2009 2:36 am

I have problems with the LFO sync to my DAW (Cubase 4).
It follows the pace but is out of beat.

Does anyone know what to do about it?

I think (at least on the Voyager) it is because the LFO is analog. A Midi signal will definately sync with the start of the LFO but you need to still tune the LFO by ear to the tempo of the song, or a fraction above or below the tempo to be in a beat. THe LFO will start when it is told but if the freq isn't correct you will get an LFO that is off beat.

I don't own a LP so I am not certian if the LFO is purely in the software or not.

No, it's the other way around.
The LFO tempo is correct, but the LFO cycle start is not synced with the bar (yes, they are all set to 4/4). Not even if I start the sequenser at an whole bar.

I don't think there is a way to hard-sync/reset the LFO on the Little Phatty.
