Is the preset memory on the LP handled by a flash chip or is there some kinda battery in there that will need replacing?

I'm sure it's some sort of non-volatile storage but I can only speculate until i open one up.....I'm sure synth makers these days have learned from the past and try to stay away from batteries.
but ya never know! :)
anyone wanna open theirs up and take some pictures for us?

There is no battery in the Voyager, it uses flash memory. I do not know about the LP though, more likely it is flash memory why go backwards in technology for a new synth...!

So, will the LP lose its presets & other settings if unplugged?

Sorry MC, there's a battery in the Voyager. The flash memory is for the OS.
Storing presets in a RAM is faster than in a flash.
Have fun,

That'll teach me to answer questions before I look under the hood...
