Feedback all the way up noise

Post by diferor91 » Fri Dec 30, 2016 12:43 am

Hi friends at MMF, i have one question in two parts: 1- It´s normal that when pushing all the way up the feedback pot and with all other sound sources off a nasty sound appears although apparently there would not be sound to feedback?, and 2, It´s normal that when using the feedback pot all the way up in a patch the sound becomes exaggeratedly distorted and the pitch is not always related to the keys pressed?

Totally normal in both cases: you've just reached the doors of the filter self-oscillation realm! :)

With no other source enabled and a filter frequncykey tracking of 100%, you can literally play the filter. Try it, decrease resonance for vanishing pitches... experiment!
With other sources on, you can manage to use this sound as a third oscillator -with some limitations though, but again: experiment :)
