CA Patch Little Phatty

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Little Phatty Stage 2 - very happy chappie here

Whenever I transfer patches via sysex it all works fine, except for the CA (Calibration) patch name - random letters and characters
Is this normal?
What text should appear beside CA?

speaking of patches....are there any places where people share their phatty patches? All I can find on MoogMusic are the tribute set, oribtal set etc - seems to be no place where folks like us are sharing?
anyone know of a freeware/shareware editor for the LP? or is the 60$ one all thats available?

by the way.....when I do a factory reset

Master Menu > System Utilities >Restore Factory

all of the patches becomes jumbled names/characters....and then when I load a sysex set from the moog site....everything is fine except for the CA patch

has anyone experienced this before? I have the latest os installed, and i tihnk boot os 1.1 is mentioned on start up

I saw this once, and tend to think I solved it by doing it again. That being said, the BootLoader version may be the key here. I'm sure the topic has been discussed here before

I did a factory restore twice -same result:

All patch names become garbage

I reloaded the factory sysex twice - once via usb and then via midi
same result: all patches loaded fine but CA patch name remains garbage

using boot loader 1.1
os version 3.21S 691

I guess I will try reinstalling the os-.......just hope i dont fry it as this forum is full of threads about issues when installing os

I had the same problem several times....
Finally:
- Use direct usb conecton (don't use usb hub)
- Use as lowest midi send speed as posible
- downgrade version to older one, 1 time
- upgrade to final version 1 time (all using slower speed as posible )

unfortunately it seems like i have the next issue now...i cant load the bootloader.....

from the doc:

LP Stage/Stage II (with USB):
Connect USB from your Windows computer to your LP Stage II.
On the LP, go to the Master menu, System Utilities and make sure "FW UPDATE" is set to ON.

unfortunately I have no FW Update option.....in system utilities the first option is software version, 2nd is hp vol, 3rd menu wrap

dont think i can loaded StageSystem_v3_21_690.hex until this is resolved..

really bizarre, since i am loading the patches successfully via usb the whole time, and i was able to run LP_USB_v33.exe successfully (USB UPGRADED message appears on phatty)

ok another update

managed to get the bootloader working......bascially you have to boot the phatty with master button pushed in, press preset and then the 'please send firmware' option appears

have done three os installs....slowest transfer rate, smallest packet size..

3.2.691

still no joy.....CA patch has garbage letters, factory restore makes all patch names garbage

guess i need to open ticket with support
