Hi,
I got problems programming the sequencer. I'm trying to record a sequence like
1/4 note, 1/2 note and 1/4 note within one measure. I try to follow the manual and record e.g. C, then
e.g. D, push the tie-button, D again and E. It wouldn't work this way.
Who can help me?
And what does the term "ratchet" mean?

Programming the squencer
Re: Programming the squencer
ratchet is a way of playing twice or four time, or eight times the sequence note, hence replacing a 1 by two 1/2 or 4 1/4.
Maybe you can try and enter C, D, D, E, then tie both 2nd and 3rd together by clicking and holding 2nd and 3rd steps (when displaying them with latch + bnk)?

You're following the right steps Dr. K....
Are you in step mode or sequence rec mode?
I followed your steps in seq rec mode and it worked as expected.

Hi Greg,
it's along way to....
In my printed manual that came with the moog the pages about Step Edit Mode were missing!
First thing that I did with the 37 was to update to firmware 1.1.0 (it has been delivered with an older one),
and it was only with this latest version they introduced that mode.
So I downloaded the missing pages from moog, but still there
was a lot of struggling (thank god no strangling) with the tie!
What finally works:
Step Edit Mode with the pattern- knob to SEQ
ON/Rest-button dark, Latch/tie pressed
holding down the desired steps together
(order doesn't matter, one can do it with further steps)
leaving Step edit mode
Thank you for your initial hints

Re: Programming the squencer
Hi Toine,
what I did wrong was, that the EG-settings were in multitrig-mode
and that obviously doesn't work with the tie.
