Slim Phatty KB Gate issue (Triggered from TR707)

I'm trying to trigger my Slim Phatty from the TR-707 trigger out so that a rhythm programmed into the drum machine will play on the slim phatty as a press a key (similar to an SCI Pro One).

Both manuals indicate that they send/receive a +5V trigger signal and I've also checked to see whether the trigger signal is outputting correctly from the drum machine.

When sending the trigger signal to the input, the note continues to sustain even after turning the sustain down on the envelopes.

Perhaps I'm missing a setting in the Master Menu. I've been trying to figure this out for the past few days with no avail. Any help is appreciated.

I have solved the issue. I just needed to amplify the trigger signal to trigger the gate.
