Hi folks,
I'm having problems integrating the Sub Phatty Editor with Pro Tools. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, if there's a problem something in my system/set-up, or just that what I want to do isn't possible.
Within a Pro Tools session I create an instrument track and open an instance of SP editor. In the preferences I check "Echo MIDI from host". Now I can record my performance from the SP and the plugin shows me any change made on the front panel. All good. However, when I play back the recorded part the plugin doesn't show these changes as it's playing. Should it be doing this? Can I set it up so it does?
More importantly, can I make changes live on the SP and have Pro Tools record these as automation on the plugin? I can only get Pro Tools to record this as MIDI CC data, not as automation on the SP plugin. It would be great if this was possible as the automation on the plugin is named correctly. i.e. FilterCutoffFreq rather than generalpurpose#4.
