Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
if polymode gets implemented and a rack version is made i might have to make a moog style 8-voice

Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
I'd be all over an 8U, give or take, rack version with a touch pad or joystick(s), maybe a ribbon. Do that bleep up right, don't just ax off the the keyboard and wheels. Headphone, External in, and Patch CV patch points on the front. CV out stock.
Not looking for cheaper, just different. Lots of us out there who want a rack are triggering notes by a sequencer would love some extra parameter control. It would particularly kick ass if parameters (including CV out) could be grouped on a controller with a pin matrix.
It would look very sexy with the metal finish of the sub. Lot's of monosynths on the market. They need to really put something extra into it to put it above the rest and give a reason for us punters to shell out the cash on the moog premimum price.
They could call it the "Boob Job." Nicest man-made rack on the planet. Or Moog Job if they want to stick with the tradition of the Mooger Fooger style names.

Poly mode, as in, can chain up with other Phattys? Or actually have a second (x) simul voice?modul8tr wrote:I just wanted to add some info from Amos' posts on Muffwiggler,

Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
Can anyone inform me what type of KB GATE this thing will need. Is it S-Trigger? +5 Volt? I'm looking at getting a analog sequencer and want to make sure the thing will work with the Moog Sub.
Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
How about "Bob Job"? That's a little more subtle and gives a nod back to Mr. Moog.Sir Nose wrote:They could call it the "Boob Job." Nicest man-made rack on the planet.

That's a bit better.
How about "Moog Bob" to complete the slip of the tongue for Boob Job?

Chain up other Phattys for extra voices.

Correct. This was the question Amos was responding to:ZYKLIFF wrote:Poly mode, as in, can chain up with other Phattys?modul8tr wrote:I just wanted to add some info from Amos' posts on Muffwiggler,

The Moon Modular 568 Quad Sequential Trigger Source Sequencer and 563 V2 Trigger Sequencer look/sound great. Should work great paired with a Moog Phatty's CV out, aye?
Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
If you havent heard the AutomaticGainsay videos on Youtube please go check them out. I would put the link up but I'm at work and youtube is blocked lol the SubPhatty sounds HUGE! It has tons of mod capabilities and "Under the Hood" features! I believe these are the best demo videos out right now!
Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
Musician's Friend has moved the ship date on my preorder back from March 7 to March 22. I'd hoped to have it for spring break, but better right than rushed.

Re: Moog SUB PHATTY
If the Sub Phatty is anything like all the other recent Moog Music stuff, the gate should be positive 5 volts pulse, and not S-Trigger.jags wrote:Can anyone inform me what type of KB GATE this thing will need.
