I think it is a kind of bad joke.
The real cost of those pieces of metal is around 3$, so why don't include them in the package?
I understand that the wood embelishments would be optional (more than 100$ in Europe), but the metal rack ears?
I really don't understand the willingness of Moog Inc to make their customers mad.
Regards.
That must be a mistake, or oddity of importing. Here, the Phatty ears are $25 US, about the same price as other ears

Now, the MoogerFooger Rack Kit, that one is annoyingly costly ($54 US)

But if you really want attitude, the guys at Avalon really have nerve. $80 US for 1U rack ears!

Hey guys. I just purchased a Slim Phatty used, and since the original owner sold me the synth, he no longer has use for the editor software. Anyone know if its possible for him to transfer the license to me? Or do I need to buy it myself? Seems silly to have to rebuy it, especially if moog doesn't see any money from the sale. Who would I contact about this?

Yes, he license is transferable. The old owner must request the software company to transfer the license to you.
Former owner of Prodigy #2845 (purchased new, long ago), Animoog, Voyager Select (Fire & Maple), Little and Slim Phatties, Nord Electro 4D, 5D and Lead 2X, Roland AX-9.

After using the librarian software and also using the Minitaur software provided by moog, I have to say the Minitaur software os 100x's better than the 3rd party one, and it provided free! I'm EXTREMELY glad Moog used their resources and went this route, and even if they may charge a bit more for the hardware because of it, I'd gladly pay a little more directly to moog as even their software editor is truly quality. Thank you for caring enough to make this change!
