Hi all!
I just recently picked up a little phatty, and was interested if anyone had suggestions for readily available books that would help me along the path towards getting the most out of it. While I like a lot of the presets, I'm looking for the best way to gain a solid understanding of what my knob turning is doing, and how to actually develop specific sounds (as opposed to just stumbling upon them).
Thanks!

Re: Good reading material?
I can't say that I know of any specific books in thus subject--and no one can deny I'm a literary guy--but I sure can say this post gives me a good idea for writing my first technical manuel. Anyone wanna post any suggestions about what they would like to read in such a book? I will be glad to research, write and publish--through my small press, Better Read, such a Manuel for Slim Phatty users!

I would recommend reading LP manual at least a few times, You want to know Your instrument inside out.
For starters try the Welsh Cookbook (as recommender above), it describes the basic concepts of synthesis in a nice way, although I don't like the patchbook at the end very much. You might want to search for the Minimoog patchbook PDF somewhere, it's easy to find and much better then the welsh one. You'll find lot's of patch ideas there.
If You'd like to go advanced later on You might want to get
Allen Strange - Electronic Music: Systems, Techniques, and Controls
that's one synthesis bible there.
I would also humbly recommend my site: http://knobz.net
Some synth tutorials there and still growing.
