MIDI Controlled in Effects Loop

I'd like to try an MF-104M and an MF-108M rack mounted and routed through my amps effects loop. These devices would be controlled by a MIDI foot controller which can be configured to send multiple MIDI messages with the press of a button to, in effect, call up presets. I'd be interested to know if any of you have tried this, and the results.

I use the MF-108M in a rack and controlled by the Moog MP-201 footpedal and another controller as well. It works perfectly.
