Rudi,
what happened with the Touch Surface on this one?
Is it too small or did it move downwards?

Another Prototype Voyager that sat on it's perch at the Factory...would be nice to mess with.
That was a non-functional mockup - Bob brought that to the NAMM 2000 show to get feedback from customers (including me). Bob got a *LOT* interest and the many suggestions led to the Voyager we know today.

The original touch plate was supplied by Tactex. It was never successfully integrated into the Voyager due to difficulties with its insane fiber optic interface. At the last moment it was replaced with an in-house touch plate of the same design that Big Briar used to sell in a standalone package.

My room (the Qwave cave) as it it right now.
Three Moogs, plenty Waldorf and some string machines.
This! Waldorf + Moog. The perfect match.

:-)

But the picture changed now: There is finally a PPG wave 2.3 in there too. And a Moog Taurus III.
OK, still addicted to the Moog/PPG/Waldorf sound.

Great pics, guys.

MC,
Do you think it is safe to say that the Old School came FIRST, but set on the backburner or just a stage of the design process that later they decided they could implement?

Thanks for the info on that, by the way.

Eric

No idea. RL may know.

When I went down there for the T1/T3 shootout, Cyril said the OS was one of his favorites. I asked him if it was the same analog board as the Voyager and he said yes.

braggart :D

Yeah I was buying up moogs during the Great Analog Dump of the 80s but had no knowledge of the modulars. If I had known I would had snatched one. Oh well. I am definitely envious 8)
