Is the Voyager XL front panel midi programmable to allow it to act as a controller? I am trying to use it as a controller for a Modal 002r, but the midi controls are not matching up for filter and envelope functions. They are close, but still off. For example, decay knob will effect sustain. If it is possible, how is it done? Or does it need to be done in a DAW instead? Thanks.

This is not possible on nearly all synths.
Some DAWs might allow you to route a received MIDI CC# (from the Voyager) to another one (sent to the 002r). But what about all those parameters of an 002r not available as knob on other synths? ReRez? Continues Filter Slope? Drive?
But as plan B you might like to use the web interface of the Modal synth for remote controlling via an tablet or regular computer. I am doing so here. with my 002 for more easy editing of the Animator and Sequencer.
