Staying in tune with the CP 251 mixer

Post by ouijasaucer » Mon Nov 28, 2005 4:06 pm

I'm trying to use the CP251 to mix the output of a Blacet VCO with the Voyager's VX351 Busses Wheel output to get uniform vibarato between the Voyager and Blacet VCOs. The problem is that, while I can get the Blacet VCO to stay in tune with the Voyager if I just use the pitch output from the VX351 straight into the Blacet VCO , if I put the CP251 mixer between the Blacet VCO and the Voyager I can only achieve an in tune range of about an octave. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Amos at Moog helped me out with this question. I ran the VX 351 keyboad pitch output to a mult. Then I ran two patches from the mult to the mixer. I then adjusted the output down on the mixer until I was able to achieve a one octave range on the keyboard with the Blacet VCO. Then I added the VX 351's busses wheel output to the mixer to get uniform vibrato on both the Voyager and Blacet VCOs.
