pot map: pressure and velocity to master volume

Post by sharema » Fri Aug 02, 2013 11:33 am

Hi all, i have a question about the pot map.

If i set pot map 1:

source: velocity att.
dest: master vol
direct: normal
amount: 50

and pot map 2:

source: pressure.
dest: master vol
direct: normal
amount: 50

i have the control active only on the pressure parameter. If i switch off the amount of pot map 2 the velocity works correctly. It works correctly even if i put pot map 2 destination to another parameter. So it is like the master volume can't support more than one control a time.

Is the behavior correct?

Thanks!

I think that eveytime you press a key, a pressure event is generated, which kind of cancels the velocity event. Pressure is continuous while velocity is instant...

ok thanks, i understand.

But shouldn't pressure events be generated after the trigger of the key and only if the pressure comes (isn't it for that it is called after-touch too?)?

I am asking because it would be a nice way to have full control on dynamics

Hi sharema,
for these things I'm using pot mapping 1 for the velocity attack and pot mapping 2-4 controls pressure for the volumes of oscillator 1, 2 and 3.
Have fun,
