Splendid, Kenneth!

It's "creamy".

I didn't expect a Casiotone to sound this good next to a Moog.

Again, I couldn't help but jam along a melody/lead on my Mini. Maybe we should do a collab one of these days ?

Thanks, Alain! Yeah, the Casiotone 405 is a beautifully simple instrument, and it certainly plays a key role in my sound.

A collaboration? I would love to! I've never done one before so I don't really know how it would work over long distance.

Just as a side note, the two lead parts were recorded while I was having a toothache and was under mild pain killers (wisdom tooth growing, can you believe it ? I'll be 47 in a couple of weeks!

)

This is the Mini D with two sawtooth (ouch) waveforms very slightly detuned, and the feedback trick of the external input.
For the second part, I decided to add a little Small Stone phasing in there, just to make it "swirly" to go with the overall "creamy" feel of the song.

Hi folks.

Spent more than a few hours this week working on understanding the XL better. I learned a lot. I recorded this song in Reaper, routing MIDI out and audio in one track at a time with the Voyager for each part. Lots of Voyager sounds to hear, lol. Obviously, this is a cover. I found a good MIDI file on one of those cheesy free MIDI websites. That's all I needed to get started making noise.

That's mDrummer Small doing the drums. I started to try to use the voyager to make each individual drum sound, but that got to be too much. So the drum track is not a Voyager. Everything else is.

This is a thoroughly entertaining and educational listen! Have you tried sampling percussion sounds from the Voyager and then just sequencing them in your DAW? That's what I have started doing and I've been very pleased with the results. You might want to give that a shot.
