Minitaur Editor and windows 10

Post by Bas » Sat Sep 19, 2015 2:29 am

I recently updated to windows 10, i am just checking if anyone has the editor working on win10?

I fired up the Minitaur editor in ableton 9, it used to work but now it gives the disconnected message.

Otherwise any help to specify the problem would be apreciated!

Thanks!!

Hello,

I've been able to get it working with Windows 10 and Ableton 9.5 after no small amount of trouble. Here's what has worked for me:

Connect your Minitaur with both usb midi and usb to midi din.

Open Ableton preferences, and, under the midi tab, choose "usb 2.0 midi"(your midi din connection) as an in and out in the control surfaces section. Highlight "track" in and out for usb 2.0 midi. Do not do anything with the mood minitaur option. Leave it open for the the editor.

Drop an "external instrument" device into a midi track. Choose "usb 2.0 midi" as "midi in".

-Now drop in the audio device version of the editor. You should be good to go. Recording automation is possible through the sliders on the docked portion of the plugin.

Hope this helps.
