He also piqued my interest in synthesizers many, many moons ago.

According to an article on the Daily Mail website, TMZ had reported that ". . . Emerson had 'recently' been suffering from depression and a degenerative nerve issue that hampered his keyboard playing capabilities." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/ar ... ed-71.html

Truly a sad outcome, he will surely be missed. :(

Thank you, Keith, up there, mainly for the first 3 years of the '70ies when I rubbed down the tapes as a teeny till they became transparent, listening to all ELP's GREAT records.
It`s allso sad to me as for the others to see what can happen to people in a sudden. Hope I don`'t end up like this..........
"Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and fu** the prom queen." —Sean Connery to Nicholas Cage in "The Rock" (1996)
I've never seen any real prom queen here in my country, but if we had some they'd
**** with everyone.

First heard the album Trilogy when I was 14 years old, was hooked other and then saw ELP in 1974. Absolutely stunned at Keith's death and hit me hard. Sadly missed !

Hey Tomto,

That was a very cool read. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so into ELP and being such a good friend to Keith.

In case any of you in SoCal didn't hear about this tribute show in memory of Keith:

I plan on being there. This is the same hall where I saw the U.K. reunion a couple of years ago.

Here is a video I shared on Facebook recently.
When Emo came to one of our gigs and joined us on stage at what used to be his 'local' - "The Six Bells" :D
