L5 Amp ?
L5 Amp ?
Any one know anything about these? My buddy is paring down and just gave me one. Apparently Bob Moog helped design these in the Norlin days. And Gibson distributed them. I've yet to plug it in. It might need new drivers.

Great amps!
Like all 30+ year old equipment, may need some servicing, particularly caps.
These make great synth amps as well, with the compressor and multifilter being good for processing, as well as the overdrive capabilities.
The late Ronnie Montrose was an early endorser, and these were the secret weapon of Ty Tabor, from King's X, who put the in Marshall cabinets to hide them.
They were later refined as Pearce amps.

Marshall cabinets are very, very frequently used as decoys. Study the pics of onstage Marshalls stacks and most times nothing is even plugged into the heads.
