The J wires haven't a Platinum alloy surface as I said above. It's a Palladium-Silver alloy.......

But aren't the Pratt-Read coil springs and buss bars supposed to be gold plated ? Image

Yes, but palladium plated contacts were used in console (and most spinet) non-clonewheel Hammond organs since the 1930s. Look how many have held up. That's nine contacts per key, per manual - 9 x 61 x 2 = 1098 key contacts :shock:
