On April 6, 2010, at Hofstra University, a comparison was done between two different synthesizer philosophies; The Moog Voyager and the Buchla 200e. The Buchla 200e was triggered or controlled by touch plates, optic sensors and a sequencer. The Moog Voyager, obviously, controlled by it's own keyboard.
Special thanks to Joe Pascarelle for bringing in both Buchla 200e's.
This was probably Herb's last electronic music course at Hofstra University. It was a great honor to guest lecture during his class between the years 2004 through 2010.
List of equipment that day:
1 Mini Moog Voyager select series;
1 Mini Moog Voyager performer edition;
1 Yamaha MO6;
2 Buchla 200e's; and
miscellaneous devices.

Re: Herb Deutsch' Electronic Music Class, April 6, 2010
Thanks for posting that. It must have been interesting to hear Herb Deutsch in action. And the Moog/Buchla comparison in this last lecture is an interesting one, to say the least.
