Congratulations on your retirement and your new Voyager and goodies.
re: powering the CP-251 off the VX-351 via internal power jumper.
I tried this approach and like many others experienced hum issues. The solution is to power the CP-251 off it's own PS.

re: MIDI note mode on 104M.
Be sure to check out adjusting the slew rate when using MIDI note mode. Makes for a very musical effect.

Re: Will moog eventually add MIDI to all the foogers?
Terms like out of stock, discontinued, are the kind of things that led to a land of confusion. We're finding the whole out-of-chip thing disconcerting. Only one manufacture in the world has those chips? We got the XL because the patch panel would be fun with the Moogers. Great Scott, we hope there ...

Re: possible problem with sub 37
re: MIDI-OX... First off make sure to select proper available port and make sure MIDI-OX and the Sub37 are sending/receiving on the same MIDI channel. I think MIDI-OX defaults to omni but not 100% sure. Options > MIDI Devices should display all available MIDI ports. In main window click "Option...

Re: Moog Midi For (old) Dummies
Yes, the MuRF is MIDI-in only. I take it you are using the editor plug-in? I use MIDI-OX to monitor MIDI activity. Does the MOTU show MIDI activity when you are trying to send CC's or new patterns to the MuRF? Are you saying the editor plug doesn't recognize the USB cable or the MOTU as available MI...

Re: How long with Tribute Edition of Sub 37 be available?
To be fair the Sub 37 has been in production for less than a year.
I don't think Moog should be "blamed" for having a smash hit product.

Re: How long with Tribute Edition of Sub 37 be available?
Sweetwater had a few in stock about 3 weeks ago but they didn't last long. I doubt sales of the Sub 37 are flagging and the demand has been fully met. I've been waffling on purchasing one for most of the year so far, and got sidetracked by the purchase of a second 104MSD. But it's still on my radar...

Re: Which Moog to buy
If you really want a Voyager I would say keep saving and look into the used market. I've had mine for 10 years and it has a few little quirks, but nothing major. It has never been serviced but I did do the field upgrade. The Voyager is a super deep instrument and with a VX-351, CP-251, and some Moog...

Re: The final fooger (diddleeedeee)
Be sure to check out the MIDI Note function, and use the slew rate CC to dial in some very interesting and musical results. I use an EB as the sound source and an MPK-49 as the CC controller for the 104MSD, matrixed through a MIDIsport 8x8 via MIDI-OX. If you play guitar I would also suggest using t...

Got a sticker in the mail today, not sure why, but I did register a 104MSD last week.

Re: Brand New 104M Stuck in Bypass Mode
When you send CC-80 what value are you sending? I haven't spent a lot of time using my 104MSD with MIDI control but I played with it a bit tonight and noticed some weirdness. Like MIDI CC's listed in the manual don't match up to at least one function, namely, MIDI Note Mode. The MSD lists CC-113 but...

"Playing" The 108M Chips
Seems I was able to do the feature of "playing" the BBD chips via MIDI before, but now I can't seem to get audio off the chip without having audio fed into the 108M.
Is this function enabled with MIDI CC#77?
