OK, post a mangled e-mail address and I'll send you a B exe. Might be a while as I'm not at home.

OK, if the first attempt was with the exe, then it appears your machine has a problem with the C version. Try an earlier version if you have one, preferably using the exe.

OK, you've taken your delivery system out of the picture now. But it sounds like it could have been a problem originally if you did not get the Midi-Ox buffer settings correct. Let tech support know, I'm sure this info will help them. But my advice is to try an earlier version, now that you know you...

Well, that's what the PC exe says it is sending. But I've just downloaded the 1.03C sysex and the length is 119856. Now use WinHex to do a byte compare of the results with the original. Get it here: http://www.x-ways.net/winhex/ Now, open both the original and the rx'ed sysex files using the File/Op...

OK, here is how to record a sysex file in Midi-Ox. Select Actions/Send/Sysex File. Then cancel the file selection. Now you will see the Sysex View and Scratchpad window. Then select Sysex/Receive Manual Dump. Now you will get a small window that waits and counts the bytes coming in. Send the sysex f...

I don't know Midi-Ox that well, so maybe someone else can explain how to record a sysex file.

I will check it out later, but someone else might know right now.

But if you can see data going out and data going in, then you are nearly there. Just need to record it to a file.

Here is a way to test your sysex delivery system. If you have two midi adapters, then loop them together, either with a cable or an external midi device that has 'Thru' capability. Then you can send the sysex out one port, and use Midi-Ox to record the rx'd version. Check the sizes of the files as a...

One thing to try is to set Local Control to OFF. Then connect the midi out to the midi in with just a midi cable (assuming it's a good cable). Play a note, and if you can't hear any response, then it sounds like your midi out is not working. If it is working, then the problem is in your external mid...

Is it a Stage or a Tribute?

If it's a Stage, you may be sending Tribute firmware, which it hopefully just ignores.

Fatbass,

Try turning the egr matrix off by going to SYSTEM UTILITIES/EGR MATRIX.

Apparently scanning the EGR buttons is causing noise and using this setting stops the scanning.

It's a problem if thats the way you want it to behave and maybe if there are enough people who want it to behave that way, Moog might change it. But there are other reasons for wanting it the way it is. You should look at it this way. When Local Control is OFF, you have 2 separate devices, a sound e...

You can compensate somewhat for the loss of the egr buttons by mapping any of the pots to an egr function.

Try using the 'send cur preset' option in the sysex menu. Then change the preset to the desired location, and send the calibration preset back to the lp.

Even if Moog does not host the Stage sysex presets, I'm sure if you ask for them on the forum, someone will send them to you.

I'll bet both Tribute and Stage factory presets will get uploaded to Moog Space to make them available to both sets of users.

Yes, Oyster Rock, I'm certain that is what happens in the LP. What I propose is putting a cheap processor (under $1) on each knob, or say a pair of knobs depending on computing resources needed. The knob could then be sampled at 10Khz and 12 bits resolution, processed (no more need for snap, track,p...
