Rockit, The MM has an gain knob so you can set it so it sounds just right when you engage...no volume loss. You can also get some compression/overdrive by cranking up on this. If anyone wants a before/after sample of the MM just email me at bendingbus@earthlink.net and I'll send you over an MP3. bb

I second the "buttery" comment. Sounds amazing as long as you don't drive the MM too hard (if you do it starts to distort). A touch of the chorus knob can be nice as well. I'm getting a second MM for stereo delays.

Hi, just letting you guys know I'm selling my VX-351. I only used it ONCE and it's been sitting around waiting for someone to love it. It's great by the way...just more than what I need. If you want it just goto eBay and search for VX-351.

There are no rules but *generally* you want to record bass mono. There are way too many reasons why so I'm not going to go into technical...but mis-recorded/mixed bass/kickdrum can muddy up your mix fast.
